Last Tuesday, the Judicial Inspection body referred two judges to the Disciplinary Board, calling on Justice Minister Albert Sarhan to put them off their duties.
Six days after the referral request, the justice minister has not yet taken his decision.
Well-informed sources raised surprise over the delay in the minister’s response, explaining that when the Judicial Inspection asks for the suspension of judges, it means that the inspection body sees that they may threaten the transparency of judicial decisions.
