Will Aley, Chouf, Baabda and some Beirut streets drown in garbage in 10 days?

Will the regions of Aley, Chouf, Baabda and some Beirut streets drown in garbage in 10 days?

This question has been raised after the warning issued by the federation of municipalities of Beirut’s southern suburb and Choueifat municipality regarding the Costa Brava landfill.

According to the federation of municipalities of Beirut’s southern suburb, the decisions of the cabinet stipulate that the landfill can absorb 1000 tons of waste per day. However, since the opening of the landfill and with the second expansion in 2018, around 1800 tons have been entering on a daily basis, which caused the dumpsite to reach its limit sooner than anticipated.
