MP Hajj Hassan calls for putting an end to unjustified spending in Telecom sector

MP Hussein Hajj Hassan revealed Monday that the issue surrounding the rent of “Touch” building was discussed with former telecom minister during a meeting for the Information and Telecom committee, stressing that the majority of the committee’s members objected this matter and the minister said at the time: “I will see what I’’ do.”

In a press conference from the Parliament, Hajj Hassan called for refraining from turning this matter into a debate.

“The time has come to focus serious attention to the Telecom sector in order to end this unjustified spending,” he added.

He also noted that the committee sent recommendation to both companies “Touch” and “Alfa” to rent offices outside Beirut’s downtown.
