PSP: Investigation deny existence of armed ambush in Aley incident

The Progressive Socialist Party Command said on Tuesday that it submitted before the Military Investigating Judge a formal plea for the lack of competence of the military judiciary in examining the Aley incident case.

The party said that it is waiting to take the appropriate decision to complete the needed measures in this regard according to the law.

The party’s comments were made by lawyer Nachaat al-Housseinie on behalf of the PSP, saying that investigations showed that the road was partially cut.

“Minister Saleh al-Gharib’s convoy opened fire after it crossed the road,” he added.

“The investigation denied the existence of an armed ambush due to the lack of its conditions,” he also noted.

As for the audio recordings, the command stressed that there is no legal value for these recordings.
