Geagea: Hezbollah’s acts reminiscent of Syrian regime
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea announced on Saturday that Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s declaration that “the situation is out of control” is unacceptable, confirming that the party is responsible for all kidnappings currently taking place in Lebanon.

In a statement to the Free Lebanon radio station, Geagea said that the hostage issue is a “just cause that is being used for bad ends”, calling on the president and prime minister to declare a state of emergency and to not contribute to the “demise of the state”.

Geagea said that, at the outset, he has cast doubt on Hezbollah’s role in the current security incidents, adding, however, that Nasrallah’s speech has confirmed his doubts.

In his concluding remarks, Geagea stressed that Hezbollah is doing today what the Syrian regime was doing for 35 years in Lebanon. “Hezbollah creates the problem, makes a fuss about it while resolving it falls under its responsibility”, he explained.
