Bassil meets UN Kubis over Israeli attack
Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil met on Wednesday with United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jan Kubis over the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
During the meeting, discussions tackled the latest attack on the southern suburb of Beirut and its repercussions.
Bassil called on the UN to condemn the attack and to take it into consideration when renewing the UNIFIL’s mandate.
Bassil concluded by asserting Lebanon’s commitment to resolution No. 1701 issued by the UN Security Council.
