The verdict in the lawsuit filed against “Nidaa al-Watan” newspaper will be issued on November 21.
The paper’s attorney Boutros Harb said after the trial session held on Thursday that “freedom is a constitutional right that no one can take it away,” adding that despite the dispute that occurred with the representative of the public prosecution, they have complete trust in the judiciary’s justice.
The session to interrogate the newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Beshara Charbel witnessed a dispute between the representative of the public prosecution and attorney Boutros Harb, after the latter said that the article, subject of the lawsuit, was intended against Hezbollah and its weapons. To this claim, the representative rejected this statement, asking the court’s president to reject Harb’s remarks.
