Hezbollah chief Nasrallah meets Marada leader Frangieh

Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah met head of the Marada Movement Sleiman Frangieh, according to a statement issued by Hezbollah’s public relations department.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Public Works Youssef Finianos and Hezbollah's political advisor to the Secretary-General Hussein al-Khalil.

Talks reportedly featured high over the latest regional developments, mainly in Iraq and Syria.

Both sides also reaffirmed their stance on the need for the return of the relations between Lebanon and Syria to its normal course, stressing the need for direct and official dialogue with the Syrian government.

During the meeting, the country’s economic situation was reviewed in detail, stressing the need to increase revenues and reduce expenses and to refuse any direct taxes increase and any cuts to salaries, wages and pensions.
