Interior and Municipalities Minister Raya al-Hassan issued Tuesday a decision to postpone the municipal by-elections in a number of towns and villages until further notice, due to the current situation and the blocked roads across the regions.
The by-elections were initially scheduled to be held on Sunday 27/10/2019, but were delayed in order o ensure the safety of all the citizens.
The minister had informed the government of this decision during the cabinet session held on 21/10/2019.
