Caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri received Wednesday at Beit al-Wasat deputy Speaker Elie Ferzli, in the presence of former Minister Ghattas Khoury, where they discussed the latest developments.
following the meeting, Ferzli said that “the visit was to listen to the Prime Minister's point of view regarding what happened and what might happen,” adding that Hariri is one of the pillars of the nation's unity, of maintaining coexistence, and of the logic of the true representative of the component to which he belongs, which is one of the elements of the immunity of the country in the face of external challenges. “I think there is no deep disagreement today about whether or not Hariri should be designated. He is a safety valve for the financial, monetary, economic and social issue, along with his brothers in power who represent the components, the President of the Republic and the Speaker of the Parliament. This is not a matter of luxury in the designation, but it’s about the interest of the country. The resignation and what preceded it must be transformed into a positive vibe to reproduce the logic of the state in a proper way that takes into account all the problems that caused the crisis economically, socially and politically,” he explained.
Answering a question about the technocratic government, he noted that “it is not problem,” adding that the issue of a government of technocrats or a techno political or political government is a detail when Prime Minister Hariri is designated.
“He has become proficient in Lebanese politics and knows what has to happen,” Ferzli pointed out.
