The District of Zgharta has been witnessing a waste crisis for the last few months after the closure of Adwe landfill and failure to establish an alternative sanitary landfill.
The garbage has been piling up the streets and even the Ehdeniyat square has turned into a waste dumpsite.
The Municipality of Zgharta-Ehden had issued a statement on Wednesday whereby it said that “the efforts have not stopped in a bid to implement a sustainable solution for the waste crisis, in cooperation with the federation of municipalities of Zgharta district.”
