The banks will be closed on Tuesday due to the strike scheduled by the Union of the Syndicates of Bank Employees.
This comes as the Association of Banks in Lebanon decided to conduct negotiations with the employees starting Monday night in order to dissuade them from moving forward with an open-ended strike. The negotiations will continue tomorrow as well.
