Lebanese Forces party chief Samir Geagea stressed Monday that the new cabinet must be formed by independent experts not from the political parties, noting that it is unacceptable that a date has not yet been set for the parliamentary consultations.
Following the Strong Republic bloc meeting, Geagea said that the current crisis is a failure in the structure and in ensuring basic services for the Lebanese citizens, stressing that the popular uprising is real and 100% Lebanese.
He noted that it has become clear that there is no confidence in the current ruling structure, calling on the ruling class to look at the situation with seriousness so that the crisis would not deepen.
“Some may think that if China brought in business to Lebanon, we would not have reached this crisis, but I do not agree because this theory does not go in line with reality,” he said.
