Attorneys Mohammad Ziad Jaafil and Nadim Qouber filed on Monday a complaint before the public prosecution in Beirut against the Association of Banks in Lebanon, represents by its president Salim Sfeir and the representatives of affiliated banks, as well as whoever is proven by the investigations as involved in the crimes stipulated in the article 301, 649, 651, 670, 319 of the Penal Code.
This complaint comes after the statement issued by the association following a meeting held on November 17, 2019, whereby it announced a series of temporary banking measures to be implemented by the banks amid the current exceptional situation in the country.
