Achrafiyeh streets without cars
The streets of Achrafiyeh were emptied from cars on Sunday, where festivals filled the squares, within the event “Achrafiyeh’s walk”, organized by civil society under the auspices of the region’s deputies.          

The streets were filled with pedestrians and bicycles, without worrying about the parking problem, but for a few hours, since the event will end five o’clock in the evening.             

The region’s deputies, who helped the activists in the civil society to organize this event, removed their ties and walked in the streets.     

In this context, MP Serge Torsarkisian told LBCI that some parties seek to bring a foreign culture to the country, and this matter faces objection by the people.          

For his part, MP Michel Faraoun told LBCI that this event is a message of security, stability and aims at decreasing traffic in the city.            

In turn, MP Nadim Gemayel hoped, in a statement to LBCI that the life of the Lebanese people will change and becomes cleaner.
