24-hour protest outside BDL kicks off

Protesters started to gather on Tuesday night outside the Banque Du Liban to partake in a 24-hour protest against “the central bank’s continued defense of banks and not the people, the failure to take responsibility for the public debt and the collapse of the exchange rate of the Lebanese pound.”

The protesters chanted slogans condemning the BDL’s policy and calling for the departure of Governor Riyad Salameh.
