Progressive Socialist Party chief Walid Jumblatt explained that he is not the one who nominates Samir al-Khatib, noting that everything that is happening violates the Constitution.
Following his meeting with Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain al-Tineh, he noted that the parliamentary consultations must take place according to the norms before the nomination.
He also explained that he has not visited Speaker Berri for a while due to the circumstances in the country, pointing out that he came today to confirm the historic relations and friendship with Berri and to prevent rumors of political dispute between the two parties.
Jumblatt announced that he will visit caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri at 7:00 PM today.
