President of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists Fadi Gemayel said Wednesday that the industrial sector has been facing a decisive challenge related to the deprivation of raw materials, noting that this is “a matter of life or death.”
“Depriving us of raw materials is a crime and we will not stand idly by as it being committed,” he added.
In a press conference, Gemeyael announced that escalation is the only method they can adopt, explaining that they will stage their first movement within 10 days at the latest.
He urged the authorities to take the necessary measures immediately in order to approve financial facilitations and ensure liquidity.
“We have protected our employees in the most difficult times and today we are exerting our utmost efforts to maintain this principle,” he stressed.
