Geagea: Solution relies in formation of a government made of independent experts

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea asserted on Saturday that the Strong Republic bloc previously suggested the formation of a government made of independent experts.

 

“We are in dire need to restore the lost confidence,” he added after meeting with Advisor to caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri Ghattas Khoury in Maarab.

 

“To solve the current crisis, we need a rescue government and not a national unity government,” he went on saying.

 

On another note, Geagea said that the name that his bloc will pick to form a new Cabinet will be decided during the bloc’s meeting.

 

“We will partake in the binding consultations but not in the government,” he added.

 

“Why would parliamentary blocs fear a technocrat Cabinet when they can withdraw confidence from it at any time?” Geagea stressed.
