MP Abi Khalil to LBCI: Only solution for current crisis is formation of a capable Cabinet

MP Cesar Abi Khalil said on Monday that the only solution for the current crisis is the formation of a capable Cabinet that has the will to find solutions.

Abi Khalil’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI whereby he voiced hopes that Thursday would be a final date for the binding parliamentary consultations to name a new Prime Minister.

“We support the formation of a Cabinet made of experts who are known for their competence and integrity and garners the confidence of the Lebanese people and the Parliament with the support of the political parties,” he added.

Abi Khalil called on caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri to name a figure who is “competent, honest and committed to a rescue government to change the current course."

The lawmaker concluded by saying that the demands of the protesters are demands that the Free Patriotic Movement have carried for a long time.
