The Maronite Bishops warned against any attempt to ignore the demands of the Lebanese people that were raised during protests, stressing the need to facilitate the mission of the Prime Minister-designate.
Following their monthly meeting, the bishops expressed discontent over the officials mistreating the rights of the citizens in releasing their deposited funds, calling for putting in place an integrated financial policy to put an end to the humiliation suffered by the people at banks.
They also condemned the attacks targeting the bank branches across the Lebanese regions.
On another note, the bishops voiced concern over the rising tension in the Middle East on the backdrop of the recent events in Iraq.
