The governmental obstacles have been resolved on Wednesday evening after caretaker Minister Gebran Bassil approved the proposal prepared by PM-designate Hassan Diab.
The cabinet is expected to see the light on Friday, pending final touches.
A meeting is set between Speaker Nabih Berri and PM-designate Diab on Thursday to go over the cabinet lineup draft and approve the names of the Shiite ministers.
The cabinet will be formed of 18 ministers, not 24, selected from names proposed by the political parties taking part in the government.
The lineup includes four women, and the Shiite duo will hold 5 portfolios after the merge of the ministries of agriculture, culture and information.
The sovereign ministries:
Ghazi Wazni as Finance Minister
Nassif Hatti as Foreign Minister
Talal al-Ladki as Interior Minister (to become final after discussion with Berri)
Michel Mnassa as Defense Minister as well as deputy PM
The President and FPM ministries:
Energy Ministry for an Orthodox who will probably be Raymond Ghajar
Economy Ministry to be approved later
Justice Ministry for Marie Claude Najem
Environment Ministry for Manale Msallem
Marada Movement will hold the Public Works Ministry with Lamia Yammine Dwaihi.
The Tashnag party will hold the Tourism, Culture and Information and the name to be determined later.
The portfolios will be distributed according to sects:
Sunnite share: Hassan Diab as PM, Talal Ladki as Interior Minister, Talal Hawat as Telecom Minister and Tareq al-Majzoub as Sports and Youth Minister.
Maronite share: Nassif Hatti, Marie Claude Najem, Demianos Qattar, Lamia Yammine Dwaihi
Druze share: Ramzi Msharrafieh as Social Affairs, Displaced and Refugees Ministry
Shiite share: Ghazi Wazni as Finance Minister, Health Ministry, Industry Ministry
Orthodox share: Michel Mnassa and Raymond Ghajar
Catholic share: Manale Msallem
