Director General of the Internal Security Forces Maj. Gen. Imad Othman said on Thursday that the ISF members have been practicing their duties perfectly and do not seek to attack anyone, noting the directorate’s crime combatting capabilities have improved.
In a press conference, the ISF chief said that assaulting a military barracks is not acceptable as per the law, stressing that the security forces work to preserve security.
“Do you want the security forces to stand and watch while crimes are being committed every day under the revolution slogan? Is the revolution breaking, violence and attempted murder?” he asked.
Othman also extended apologies to the journalists and reporters who were assaulted while covering Wednesday’s protests.
