Aoun calls Defense, Interior Ministers, urges them to restore calm in Beirut
President Michel Aoun phone called on caretaker Minister of Defense Elias Bou Saab, caretaker Minister of Interior Rayya al-Hassan, Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Joseph Aoun, and the Director General of the Internal Security Forces on the background of Beirut’s clashes.
Aoun urged them to preserve the safety of the peaceful demonstrators, the public and private properties and to restore calm in downtown Beirut.
