Dispute breaks out between protesters and Future Movement supporters

A dispute broke out on Friday afternoon between a number of protesters and supporters of the Future Movement at the grave site of assassinated Prime Minister Rafic Hariri.

Both sides threw water bottles and sticks at each other as the security forces and the Lebanese army interfered to disperse them.

This as supporters of the Future Movement accused protesters at the Martyr’s Square of cursing them and doing obscene gestures.

Meanwhile, protesters denied all accusations, stressing that the Future Movement’s supporters provoked them.

Later in the day, clashes renewed at downtown Beirut between them near the grave site of late PM Rafic Hariri.
