President Aoun marks start of exploratory drilling works

President Michel Aoun launched on Thursday the work of the vessel that will start exploratory drilling for oil in offshore Block 4.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Prime Minister Hassan Diab and Minister of Energy Raymond Ghajar.

Aoun thanked the consortium of Total, Eni, Novatek, for their work.

For his part, PM Diab delivered a speech in which he said that a skylight was opened today, voicing hopes that it will help Lebanon overcoming its severe economic crisis.
