Minister Abdel Samad: Decision to be issued within 48 hours on whether to close schools or no over Coronavirus concerns

Minister of Information Manal Abdel Samad announced on Friday that President Michel Aoun briefed the ministers about the start of oil exploration, reiterating that yesterday was “a historic day for Lebanon."

Abdel Samad’s comments were made after the Cabinet session whereby she said that at the Baabda Presidential Palace.

On the Eurobond issue, the minister said that the Cabinet is studying all available options, adding that no decision has been reached yet.

“Anything contrary to that is incorrect," she added.

On another note, the minister said that “a decision will be issued by the Minister of Education in the next 48 hours on whether to close schools for a week, subject to renewal, due to the coronavirus.
