Lebanese University contract professors raise the voice
The Lebanese University’s contract professors described their situation as “disastrous”, following the many protests and sit-ins they have held in vain.

LU professors have been holding demonstrations and sit-ins for months in protest of the government’s delay in passing a draft law that would grant them permanent tenure and benefits.

Today, professors raised the voice again at the LU’s Faculty of Sciences in Fanar, calling on the government to pass the draft law for the remaining contract workers.

Protesters praised the supporting stances of the University’s rector and the minister of education, calling on both the president and the prime minister to interfere to pass the draft at the first cabinet session.
