Health of cultural icon Wadih El Safi improves remarkably

Singer Dr. Antoine Safi, son of Lebanese cultural icon Wadih El Safi confirmed Sunday that his father’s health condition has improved remarkably.

“There is nothing to worry about; my father is recovering with the help of God and the medical team”, he said.

In statement issued by the family, Safi reassured all the fans of his father and extended his thanks, on behalf of the family, to all those who called to check up on him, including political, cultural, intellectual, media, artistic and social figures both in Lebanon and abroad.

Safi, aged 91, underwent a successful surgery at Mount Lebanon Hospital, after suffering from a severe fracture in his left leg.
