Tension prevails over Mreijeh following gunfire exchange

A dispute erupted on Monday in Mreijeh, near al-Sadeq school between Ahmad Jaafar Karbala and members of the Zaayter family, soon escalating into a full blown physical clash with arms and sticks, leading Ousama Zaayter to open fire.

Following the incident, other members of the Zaayter family attacked the house of the Karbala family, causing damage to the home's walls without injuring anyone.

A state of tension prevailed over the region following the clash, with security forces pursuing the offenders.
