Mikati: Pay scale draft law referred to Parliament for discussion
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed on Saturday that the pay scale draft law was referred to the Parliament to discuss it and then pass it, noting that efforts are underway to find necessary sources to fund the expenses related to the pay scale.

According to Minister Wadih al-Kahzen, Mikati noted that the oil committee may be formed soon because "new revenues became a must to ensure the supplies and sources of funding in order to be able to pass the pay scale".

Consequently, Mikati pointed that it is not recommended to stage protests during next week since it will not solve any issue.

Separately, the Prime Minister met with Public Works Minister Ghazi Aridi and discussed the general situation on the local level as well as the work of his ministry.
