For the first time in October, ping pong-sized hail falls in Akkar
Ping pong-sized hail fell in Akkar’s mountainous area on Saturday, setting residents aback and damaging apple crops. The outcry of local farmers was soon heard when they appealed for government help.  

“It is the first time we see hail in October”, farmers said, pleading with the Minister of Agriculture to send his experts for damage assessment in order to take appropriate steps.
