Thief arrested following 24 theft operations of 10 million dollars
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces declared on Wednesday the arrest of a thief who stole iron safes from houses and commercial institutions in several regions in Mount Lebanon, the South and Beirut.            

Following intensive investigations, the South Lebanon judicial police was able to arrest the perpetrator, who was identified as 48-year-old Syrian citizen named M.D.                

A number of stolen items were found in his possession, such as jewelry, precious stones, watches, antiques, cell phones, guns, and some cash.                                

After interrogations, he confessed to carrying out 24 operations targeting iron safes, with the value of the stolen items reaching 10 million dollars, adding that he led a professional gang, whose members are the subject of pursuit.                   

It was also revealed that the arrestee had previous offenses according to several judicial warrants issued against him.
