Gemayel: Hezbollah is involving Lebanese people in Syrian crisis

Kataeb Party's Central Committee Coordinator MP Sami Gemayel asked on Sunday: ‘What is the Lebanese government’s position over the presence of Hezbollah members in Syria? What would we do if some Syrians decided to take revenge on the Lebanese people because of a number of Lebanese who were fighting in Syria?”

During his meeting with officials from Kataeb party from Bekaa, at his residence in Bekfaya, Gemayel noted that Hezbollah thinks that it is the Duty of Jihad to fight in Syria, but “what will happen if the Syrians decided to perform their Duty of Jihad here in Lebanon”, he added.

In this context, Gemayel accused Hezbollah of “involving all the Lebanese people in a case that will affect them all”.
