Council of Catholic Patriarchs of the Orient holds meeting in Rome

The Council of Catholic Patriarchs of the Orient held a meeting on Monday at the Maronite College in Rome, in the presence of a number of cardinals, patriarchs and bishops, upon the call of the Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai.

During the meeting, the attendees discussed the situation in the Middle East amid the current incidents and developments and within the principle of “witness and communion,” according to the Apostolic Exhortation for the Middle East and the works of the Synod session underway in Rome.

During the meeting, a consensus was reached regarding the need for the Christians to assume their responsibilities by preserving the Christian values, during the difficult circumstances, in order to protect the Christian culture based on dialogue, love and peace, and spreadin it across the Arab World.
