Schools closed on Thursday if pay scale fails Parliament referral

Head of the Private Schools Teachers Association Nehme Mahfoud stressed on Wednesday that a general strike will be held on Thursday in case the cabinet does not refer the pay scale draft law to the Parliament during Wednesday's session.

Mahfoud called on teachers of private schools to commit to the decision of their Association, noting that "the strike is legal and it is a right to all teachers".

He also called on all parents not to send their children to school on Thursday, "because the teachers will be committing to the decision of the Private Schools Teachers Association".
