Palestinian delegation visits Army Command, confirms support for LAF

A delegation representing Palestinian factions in Lebanon voiced on Thursday full support to the Lebanese Army institution, during a visit to the Army's headquarters in Yarzeh.

The visit comes in the wake of a series of repercussions which followed a blast that rocked Achrafieh last week, killing ISF Information Chief, General Wissam Hassan.

The visiting delegation said Palestinians were keen on preserving Lebanon's security and stability, praising the Army's role in this regard.

"The security of Lebanon includes the security of [Palestinian Refugee] camps," the Army command quoted the Palestinian delegation as saying.

The delegation also highlighted the importance of keeping Palestinians away from internal political disputes.

"Palestinian involvement in armed clashes is strictly individual and has nothing to do with the Palestinian factions," the statement confirmed.
