Achrafieh explosion’s follow up committee holds meeting

The committee in charge of following up on the affairs of the people affected by the Achrafieh explosion held a meeting on Monday whereby the attendees studied the applications presented by the concerned Mokhtars to the Higher Relief Commission.

In this context, the committee noted that a number of associations offered to help in repairing the damaged houses.

On Friday October 19 a massive blast rocked through a crowded Achrafieh street leaving Maj. Gen. Wissam Hassan, companion Sergeant Ahmad Sahyouni and citizen Georgette Sarkissian dead.

The explosion left several residents of the area homeless due to the extremity of the damage sustained in the area.
