Makari to LBCI: we will not legislate if our lives are at risk

Deputy Speaker Farid Makari said that he will not participate in the meeting of the parliamentary committee on Wednesday and considered that any pre-planned meeting may present the party performing the assassination a point of benefit.

Makari said to LBCI during Nharkom Said that claiming that March 14 is disrupting the work of the parliament is "misplaced" and stressed that these forces are willing to change the 1960's electoral law.

"We are not ready for legislation if our lives are at risk," Makari added.

Regarding Hezbollah's spy drone that violated the Israeli airspace and Iran's declaration that it has pictures of critical areas in Israel, Makari considered that Tehran's point is clear; "the drone was launched by Hezbollah meaning that they are working with Iran," he concluded.
