Mikati: I will continue performing my duties until further notice

Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Tuesday that national issues cannot be tackled with intransigence, obstinacy or reactionary stances, but via dialogue “in order to reach a common ground through which we can protect our country from the dangerous regional turmoil.”

The Premiere told his visitors that he will continue to perform his duties until further notice in order to avoid political void that would in turn lead to chaos.

Mikati urged all parties to gather around the dialogue table to agree on the steps that would protect Lebanon to immunize it from void and division.

“Let our understanding pave the way for a new phase that would safeguard Lebanon, its people and leaders from all dangers," he said.
