REPORT: Economic experts do not see inflation as inevitable if pay scale approved

Few months ago, the cabinet gave the Syndicate Coordination Committee (SCC) a ‘successful morphine shot’ by declaring the launch of the pay scale discussions.

Afterwards, the cabinet and the ministerial committees gave the SCC other drugs by announcing the beginning of discussions to search for funding resources for the scale.

However, following all these painkillers, the discussions in the cabinet and the finance ministry returned to zero. According to the cabinet, the pay scale, if approved, can cause inflation to the economy.

In this context, the economic expert Elie Yachouii stressed that the pay scale do not affect inflation, noting that this is just an excuse used by the cabinet to escape from assuming its responsibilities.
