Geagea calls on Christians in Syria to join revolution

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea called on Thursday on all Christians in Syria to join the revolution in their country, noting that the system is trying to intimidate them from Islamist extremism so that they will support it, while the Syrian regime was the first to target the Christians.

“We do not need protection from anyone, all we need is democracy, equality and justice; these once achieved, all the Christians, wherever they were, in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq or Egypt can manage their own affairs,” Geagea said.

LF leader called on Arab states concerned with the Syrian crisis “to arm the Syrian opposition in an appropriate way, in order to be able to keep up with the revolution, since Syria is going towards further devastation and division which leads several groups to become extremists,” he noted.
