Sheikh Hammoud: Assir should seek medical assistance

The Shi'ite imam of the al-Quds mosque in Sidon Sheikh Maher Hamoud said on Wednesday that Sheikh Ahmad Assir bears 90% of the responsibility regarding the recent clashes in Sidon.

Sheikh Hammoud said that they will not give up on their city for any electoral reason or local benefit and added: “Sheikh Assir should seek assistance from a specialized doctor.”

During a press conference, Sheikh Hammoud said that the ego and intolerance that Assir has exuded resulted in the worst political actions in the country.

Talking about Assir, Sheikh Hammoud concluded: “what he is doing is invalid because it is based on falsehood and eventually his fate will be similar to that of Maher Moqdad.”
