REPORT: Relatives of enforced disappearance victims gather outside National Museum

SOLIDE [Support of Lebanese in Detention and Exile], the Committee of Parents of Lebanese Detainees gathered outside the Lebanese national Museum to call on the Lebanese state to assume its responsibility in their case and to take action to reveal the victims’ fate.

Later on, the protesters organized a march from outside the Museum towards 3 collective graves reported in the official state report regarding the detainees, where speeches were delivered concerning the case.

The march was concluded at the tent set up by the families of the Lebanese detainees in the Syrian prisons in Gebran Khalil Gebran Garden, outside ESCWA headquarters, where the relatives gathered in the presence of the president of SOLIDE organization Ghazy Aad.

In the garden, several slogans were raised such as: "Let's work together for the detainees", "your signature contributes in revealing our fate", and a petition was signed to call on the government to take serious steps in order to uncover the fate of the disappeared people and the detainees.
