Nasrallah: It seems Arab countries only serve as a Red Crescent

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Monday that the resilience of the resistance in Gaza prompted Israelis to look into a ceasefire to bring the situation back as it was before the assassination of Ezzedine al-Qassam leader Ahmed al-Jaabari. “But the resistance is rejecting this solution,” he said.

In a speech he made during a Ashura Council, Nasrallah said that “the bank of Israeli targets is over, rather almost over”, adding that just like the 2008 experience in Gaza and that of Lebanon, the resistance, its people and leaders have gotten over the phase where they can be pressured by the killing of children and women.

Nasrallah criticized the Arab stance and the statement of the Arab foreign ministers, pointing out that in the last ministers’ meeting, Arab countries called for putting an end to normalization with Israel.

“It seems that Arab countries only serve as a Red Crescent; they have no political will, no political presence. All they do is organize funerals,” he said.

Nasrallah pointed out that Arabs and Muslims have the duty to open their borders to provide the resistance in Gaza with more missiles. He criticized Arabs who provide Syrian opposition fighters with weapons but do not dare to fire one single missile at Gaza, and those who considered that “the Israeli onslaught on Gaza is a punishment to Hamas for having pulled out of the Hezbollah-Syria-Iran axis.”

Nasrallah stressed that Iran, Syria and Hezbollah will not abandon Gaza or its people. “Just like we stood by them in the past, we will stay by their side; we are fulfilling our religious, national and humanitarian duty,” he said.
