REPORT: Pierre Hachah once a candidate, now a prisoner

Pierre Hachach, who has always sought to cross into electoral lists, was subject to beating on Wednesday at 1:00 pm by an army intelligence patrol, after he wrote a status on Facebook criticizing a roundabout that holds the name of the Army Chief in Batroun and causes traffic jam in the city.

The status was removed from his page and replaced by photos of his blood on the Batroun Serail stairs.

Pierre's friend, Emilio al-Zir told LBCI that gunmen including one in a military uniform, on board a civilian vehicle intercepted Pierre while he was walking in Batroun, outside St. Stephano and beat him until he passed out, then took him to the Batroun Serail.

For her part, Pierre's sister Joelle Hachach stressed that she was also brutalized when she went to visit her brother at the Serail.

In turn, Pierre's lawyer, Bassem al-Am, noted that Pierre received a phone call a week ago asking him to go to a security center of the North, in Qobba, noting that this summon was illegal.

In this context, a source told LBCI that Pierre resisted the patrol and insulted its members.
