Ogassapian: Security and strategic decisions in Lebanon lay in the hands of Hezbollah

MP Jean Ogassapian stressed on Friday that the security and strategic decisions in Lebanon are currently in the hands of Hezbollah, not the Lebanese government, noting that March 14’s position remains clear on the rejection of all extra-state arms.

On the other hand, the MP told Nharkom Said that voting for Palestine as a non-member state at the UN gives it the right to have a role on the international scene and to present its positions regarding the peace process in the region.

Ogassapian added that this recognition could be at risk in case the Palestinian authorities fail to form a unified government.
