Cardinal Rai receives congratulations at Bkerke

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai continued, on Saturday for the second day in a row, receiving well-wishers who came to the Patriarchal in Bkerke to congratulate him for being elevated to Cardinal by the Pope Benedict XVI, as a recognition for his role and his permanent quest to promote love between the Lebanese people and to preserve Lebanon the message in the East.

Among the well-wishers were the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim Ali and the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi, as well as the Palestinian ambassador Ashraf Dabbour who congratulated Rai on behalf of the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
