REPORT: Confusion arises at Baalbek electricity station following attacks and threats

Despite the recent and repeated threats received by Electricité Du Liban, Baalbek's main station, the company decided to restore power to the station, stressing that repeating such threats is an unacceptable matter.

This decision came after Baalbek station, which supplies the entire region with power, closed its doors and evacuated all the workers, following threats and attacks against the workers conducted by unknown assailants who demanded the restoration of power by force.

In this regard, the president of Baalbek Union of Municipalities declared that in case power was not restored as soon as possible, the municipalities and the citizens will stage a huge popular movement.

The issue of the electricity in Lebanon seems to have derailed, creating a major problem among those who do not have any decision or guilt in this dilemma.
