Future Bloc: Those blaming Sakr should also blame Hezbollah

Following its weekly meeting, the Future Bloc issued a statement on Tuesday in which it held the cabinet accountable for the Talkalakh incident, accusing it of ignoring calls for deploying army and UN peacekeeping forces on the border with Syria.

The bloc reiterated its demand to replace the current cabinet, stressing that such a step is crucial to find a solution to the pending crisis. The MPs also accused the cabinet of being controlled by Hezbollah and criticized the self-distancing policy adhered to by the government.

On the issue of MP Okab Sakr, the bloc stated that those chastising Sakr and demanding that legal action be taken against him must also excoriate Hezbollah and its Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah who publicly speaks of the party’s military role in Syria
